The Smart Mobility Research Group (SMRG) is an interdisciplinary research team which draws from the fields of business information systems, economics, statistics, and data science to investigate topics related to intelligent and sustainable mobility. Additional members of the team include Prof. Dr. Johann Kranz of Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich, Prof. Dr. Norbert Mundorf from the University of Rhode Island, Dr. Mauricio Marrone and Dr. Ilja Nastjuk of Macquire University in Sydney, and Prof. Dr. Simon Trang, Chair of Information Security and Compliance from University of Goettingen. Headed by Tim-Benjamin Lembcke, the team forms a center of competence focused on developing innovative solutions to help guide the rapidly evolving transportation industry toward a smart and sustainable future. The SMRG collaborates with several private industry and governmental partners, including its status as a research partner in a funded pioneer project for the Information and Communication Technology for Electromobility II Program (IKT für Elektromobilität II). The SMRG was also involved with two projects within the Lower Saxony Electromobility Trade Show (Schaufenster Elektromobilität in Niedersachsen).
