The event that brings together the battery and startup ecosystem of the Braunschweig region. In a relaxed atmosphere, we invite anyone interested to network and exchange ideas, whether you work in the battery industry, are currently pursuing a master’s or doctoral degree, or are active in the energy or startup sectors. No agenda. No presentations. Just the chance to meet others in the battery industry.
With the project „Round Table Storage Technologies“ we are creating a platform to bring together actors from business, science, start-ups, politics and society in the region.
Together we want to discuss the potential and future prospects of storage technologies and set impulses for the further development of the region.
For whom?
The event is aimed at all interested parties from the areas:
- Storage and battery technologies
- Industry and manufacturing
- Start-ups and startup ecosystem
- Politics, administration and economic development
Agenda follows.
The 4th North German Hydrogen Conference brings together companies, politics, science, and other actors of the hydrogen economy to share exactly these experiences and look together at the next steps.
Real projects, current developments, and the question of which framework conditions are required now in order for hydrogen projects to be successfully implemented are at the center.
Look forward to:
- concrete insights into the implementation status of real hydrogen projects from the north German federal states,
- experiences of successful projects and the insights that arose from them,
- an open exchange about challenges and solution approaches,
- the opportunity to discuss requirements from practice directly with political decision-makers,
- current impulses regarding technological and regulatory developments as well as
- valuable contacts within the north German hydrogen economy.

Part 2: Niche Markets as an Opportunity for Battery Start-ups and SMEs – Successfully Bringing Innovations to Application
The path to established mass markets is often associated with high entry barriers for young companies. At the same time, specialized fields of application offer attractive opportunities to test new technologies, gain reference customers, and successfully establish innovative business models in the market.
The second workshop highlights the opportunities of niche markets as a starting point for battery start-ups and SMEs. Together with experts, market potentials, fields of application, and success factors will be discussed.
The program will follow shortly.
The members of the Hydrogen Research Network regularly exchange ideas on what the path to a powerful hydrogen economy can look like. The next major network meeting will take place in Berlin (Radialsystem V) at the end of November 2026.
In addition to personal exchange within the framework of the meeting of the Hydrogen Research Network, the focus will be on technical discussions on various cross-cluster topics. Furthermore, participants will have the opportunity to actively contribute their expertise to the creation of the Hydrogen Technology Roadmap of the High-Tech Agenda Germany.

We at the Innovation Network, together with Niedersachsen.next Startup, would like to give you an overview of the Lower Saxony startup centers and high-tech incubators so that you know which points of contact exist in Lower Saxony.
