Driving the new wave of innovation: Where biotech partnerships are shaping the future of life sciences
The German Biotechnology Conference (DBT) will take place in Leipzig on April 21 and 22. The event is considered Germany's leading forum for the biotechnology industry, where entrepreneurs, scientists, and partners from politics, investment, funding institutions, and administration can exchange ideas. The two-day program will highlight the diverse applications and potential of biotechnology, from health research to the bioeconomy.

Our recent meetings have once again highlighted the value of interdisciplinary exchange, and we are pleased to continue this series with the upcoming CAIMed meeting: Clinical decision support and its statistical evaluation: What, How and Why?
This meetup features three expert presentations on the methodological, statistical, and ethical foundations of clinical decision support systems and artificial intelligence in medicine. Julia Böhnke will present findings and methods from the ELISE project, focusing on estimating the accuracy of diagnostic tests in longitudinal studies. Björn Laabs will discuss the statistical properties required for useful and efficient clinical decision support systems and highlight methodological aspects for reliability and practical implementation. Mehul Bhatt will speak about the foundations of responsible AI for next-generation neurocognitive technologies, illuminating conceptual, ethical, and technological perspectives.
